Dependency-aware monitoring
Declare that service B depends on A. If A goes down, the alert says "dependency unavailable" - not a false alarm on B.
Real API endpoint testing
POST and PUT monitors support full request bodies with configurable Content-Type. Test that your API actually processes a payload, not just that the server responds.
Failure diagnostics
Request headers, response headers, and up to 10 KB of response body are captured on every failure. Debug the exact HTTP exchange without re-running anything.
Content verification
Specify a string that must appear in the response body. Catch maintenance pages, CDN-cached errors, and misconfigured proxies that return 200 with wrong content.
Pause vs. mute
Pause stops checks during maintenance windows. Mute keeps checks running but silences notifications. Most tools conflate these - we don't.
